California and Hawaii 2009
Based in San Francisco we visit the best of private and public gardens in Northern California. This is an area I have been exploring for many years and I have a medal from the San Francisco Flower and Garden Show in 2003 for the garden I created. We stay at a first class hotel in downtown San Francisco offering an ideal base to discover not only this fabulous city, voted by many as the best in the world, but also the vibrant and varied gardens and coast of this part of America. We visit 20 gardens in Northern California. Our tour then continues, if you wish to join us to the fabulous island of Oahu, Hawai'i. Aloha. We'll visit 8 gardens - stand under a banyan, marvel at the local Acacia and you might even see a woodrose.

Itinerary for California
Day 1: Pre-arranged transfer to the Campton Place 4 star hotel, room only. The rest of your day is free to explore this exciting city. A get together dinner is included.
Day 2: A luxury coach city tour of San Francisco including city gardens and parks and a photo opportunity of the famous Golden Gate Bridge. After lunch on your own, we'll spend the afternoon visiting Golden Gate Park by coach including the Japanese Garden, the Conservatory of Flowers, the De Young Museum Gardens and the Botanic Garden of San Francisco (formerly Strybing Arboretum).
Day 3: Today we plan to visit by coach Muir woods, then the Sonoma Conerstone Gardens and two private gardens in the area.
Day 4: We take the coach south today to visit Filoli, Sunset Gardens and the Elizabeth Gamble Garden.
Day 5: We head over to Berkeley by coach and visit Ruth Bancroft Gardens, a garden created by Dan Kiley and at least two of the University gardens.
Day 6: At leisure - tour out of the city to Monterey or Yosemite, rest or discover more of the city.
Day 7: Pre-arranged transfer to the airport whether to catch your flight home or to continue your tour on to Hawai'i. If you
continue your tour to the Hotel Hyatt Regency in Waikiki, the rest of your day will be at leisure.
  
Itinerary for Hawaii
Day 8: Aloha! Are you ready to hula? We take an island tour by coach stopping at highlights along the way and spending at least two hours in Waimea Gardens. Our tour begins with Koko Crater and also includes Senator Fong's gardens and the Harold Lyon Arboretum. You'll see Pearl Harbour and the North Shore although we cannot guarantee the surf.
Day 9: We visit by coach Foster Gardens, Hoomaluhia and the Contemporary Museum Gardens as well as the East-West Center Japanese gardens.
Day 10: We have a full day by coach to the Polynesian Cultural Centre including greeting, a farewell dinner and show. This is an unforgettable experience.
Day 11: Pre-arranged transfer to the airport to fly home.
