What a fabulous part of England this is, with such a high concentration of fine gardens. Stay at the 4* Lygon Arms in the charming village of Broadway in the heart of the Cotswolds. We’ll be looking in detail at garden features that lift a garden out of the ordinary.

Itinerary

Day 1: Our first visit en route to our hotel is Batsford Arboretum, full of garden delights.

Day 2: We take a short drive to Sudeley Castle, then on to Barnsley House where we shall see Rosemary Verey’s gardens and have lunch in the restaurant. Last in a truly splendid day, we shall visit Hidcote Manor and its renowned garden.

Day 3: Today has a stately aura as we visit the childhood home of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace and its gardens, followed by Kiftsgate Court with its wonderful colour borders.

Day 4: More pleasures are in store as we start the day at Bourton House Gardens including lunch. The stunning venue at Painswick Rococo Gardens is next on our agenda followed by Sezincote, the original Brighton Pavilion.

Day 5: We check out of our hotel to visit Mill Dene, where we shall browse the gardens and plant sales area and have lunch followed by a visit to Snowshill Manor (NT) before making our way back to London.
